Abbey Bentley, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC, PMHNP-BC, is a dual-certified pediatric primary care and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with complex medical, behavioral health, and psychosocial needs. In addition to her work at Sideline Sport Psychology, Abbey provides crisis assessment, stabilization, and treatment for youth experiencing acute psychiatric emergencies at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Behavioral Health Crisis Center.

Abbey’s clinical experience spans outpatient, inpatient consult-liaison, and specialty care settings, including adolescent medicine, behavioral health, and genetics. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, and the intersection of psychosocial complexity and mental health. She has contributed to NIH-funded research through the Undiagnosed Diseases Network and is a published co-author in peer-reviewed genetics and metabolic journals. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

With a background in fine arts and advertising design, Abbey brings creativity, visual thinking, and human-centered communication to her clinical and educational work. She is a frequent guest lecturer and conference speaker on gender-affirming care and the care of transgender and gender-diverse youth within evolving political and legal landscapes. Abbey is deeply committed to advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing compassionate, evidence-based care.
